Smile Lovers and Newcomers by Rosie Thomas

I bought this because I had previously enjoyed another book by Rosie Thomas... Iris and Ruby. I wasn't disappointed. An interesting read, without being too challenging. I got quite caught up with the characters, which is always good! It's about friends from university trying to recreate the "good times" many years later, their interactions and traumas in their new lives. Recommended!

Not an author I've heard of, but possibly another one to keep an eye out for. Would this be suited to one particular age range, copelander?

I have also not heard of the author, but I have added her to my list! Thanks!

Default Rosie Thomas

Vickietots, The mainthread of her book is about a "mature" group of people trying to relocate to live in close proximity having been a close-knit group 30 or so years previously at university, so I would say it would have most resonance with the older reader.

If that resembles a group of "mature" (sensible?) adults I spent a week in France with a couple of years ago for a 60th birthday, it should be a cracking read
